Hi,

I’m Kristin and I ask a lot of questions.

Most expensive financial mistakes aren’t necessarily caused because people are irresponsible.

They happen because people don’t know what questions to ask.

They don’t understand how the personal across the table gets paid. They’re embarrassed to say, “I don’t understand.”

That’s where I come in. I ask questions and help you ask better ones, too.

What I Believe About Money

we musT ASK THE UNCOMFORTABLE QUESTIONS

If you don't understand something, that's a reason to ask another question, not a reason to be guilted into signing paperwork.

Understand who's giving the advice

Know who's advising you, how they get paid, and what they stand to gain from your decision.

conventional wisdom doesn't always apply

Just because "everyone says so" doesn't mean it's right for you OR your money.

A Little More About Me

  • I’ve been an Enrolled Agent since 2007, which means I’ve spent a lot of years translating tax rules into actual English.

  • I’ve been married for 25+ years and have 2 kids, so I know that real-life financial decisions don’t always happen on a spreadsheet.

  • I’m naturally skeptical of anything that starts with “Everybody knows…” or “You should always…”

  • I will absolutely ask “Why?” when everyone else in the room seems perfectly satisfied with an answer.

  • I believe “I have no idea what that means” is one of the smartest things you can say in a financial conversation.

A Safe Space for All

Money is personal. You should be able to ask questions, talk about your life and make financial decisions without wondering whether you’re being judged.

Whoever you are and whoever you love, you are welcome here.
